Today I had a very special family in the studio with their newest and dearest addition and it literally filled my heart with joy. One day a few months ago I got the most amazing booking inquiry, I shared it on facebook yesterday, did you see? I’m going to attach it because it’s a special story and it definitely got me in my feels….
“Hi Amanda, I would love to know if I can book a session with you for a new baby due to arrive 25th Feb. You looked after his big sister in NICU October 2019- Feb 2020. I can’t think of anyone I want more to capture my babe. I tear up every time I see your work. About to hit 37 weeks tomorrow which is so awesome considering Alice arrived at 27 and no water since 24- it has been an adventure of faith and patience to have these two. We live out west in Roma & I told hubby Mick I’m not leaving Brisbane without photos this time. I’m angry I missed out on newborn photos for Alice- I kept waiting for the oxygen to come off and then bam- covid hit & no one out our way would take them. So excited I’m crying already (ugh hormones) The last time you took photos for us were of Alice in NICU at Xmas. Thank you ever so much.”
So today, gorgeous Alice brought her new baby brother to the studio and we captured beautiful magic along with lots of giggles from Alice herself…and all I can say is…Mumma I’m tired for you already just thinking about it! You see Alice was a firecracker in the NICU…it was that ‘spirit’ that got her through some pretty tough times but she still has this spirit and now I think it may end up giving Mumma and Papa grey hairs instead!! Though she be small….she be fierce…as they say! Lucky for us though her darling new brother was completely laid back and snoozed the day away! I’m so happy this sweet family have now completed their story and that they got a beautiful big fat term baby at the end as a reward through an otherwise long and hard journey. Sweet boy you are the perfect addition.
