Today we were blessed with not one but three gorgeous boys in the studio and it was total love overload! The divine master Eddie brought his adorable big brothers to his newborn session and they were beyond sweet to capture all together.

I’ve known Eddie’s papa for many years and it always gives me great joy to see my friends on their journey’s to parenthood….this little family was no exception.

With a spike of dark hair, beautiful dark eyes and the sweetest little round face, Eddie was the perfect mix of all of his family and had the most peaceful personality to boot!

Never I imagined…

You’d come to fill my heart…

But oh I how I dreamed…

I’ve loved you from the start.

Little man you’ve joined our world…

And brought us so much joy…

Welcome Little Man…our darling little boy.

Today we had the absolute joy of capturing very special memories of the most darling little man…a teeny tiny peanut who slept up an absolute storm and was an absolute pleasure to snuggle in the studio!

Phil and Jodie are dear family friends, and I had the pleasure of photographing their daughter Isla as a newborn years ago. Today they returned with their newest addition, and adorable little man. I always feel so blessed when friends ask me to capture these magical moments in their journey and even more so when the return time and time again.

World meet….Austin.

And I bet these two are going to be little mates as Austin grows throughout the years so we wanted a special memory of the beginning of their friendship.

Newborn baby boy sleeping in round cane basket with brown wrap and blanket with moose toy on wooden floor with maple leaves Austin brought a very special quilt with him today that captures the colours and the themes of his nursery so we did lots of special set ups in blue’s, grey’s and greens…I think the colours suited him perfectly and the quilt was absolutely divine.

They were so sweet to watch together and I am so glad we could capture this special moment together.

Well it seemed like yesterday….

When the world was lookin dark…

It felt so cold and grey.

Till that day you came along…

My heart was empty like the soul was missing from my song.

Hey little girl look what you do…

Hey little girl…oh I love you.

Today we had the loveliest little princess in the studio…the squishiest cheeks, the smooshiest lips…and the most divine little whirl on the top of her head.

Cailin’s mumma and I work together in the NICU and it has been a pure joy to watch her discover her path to motherhood. After lots of hard work and even more love, her dreams have come true in her little darling and I feel so privileged that she chose me to capture their journey.

World…Meet Cailin.

Newborn baby girl sleeping on cream blanket with knitted wrap and bow tieback Newborn baby girl sleeping on cream blanket with knitted wrap and bow tiebackI adore when families bring special things to include in their sessions and this shawl was no exception…Cailin’s mumma made this especially for her before she was born.

I have to add…the tiebacks in the last three pictures were made by one of my favourite vendors (Gumnutandbloom Photoprops) who is also a nurse and works with Cailin’s mumma…talk about small world!

Cailin…you were absolutely lovely and apart from the poop you are welcome back in the studio any time.

Jenny…I am so proud of your journey and that you have realized your dreams in Cailin’s safe arrival.

I feel I dreamed so long for you…

a glimmer in my heart…

I worked so hard to make you real…

I’ve loved you since the start.

And now you’re here and in my arms…

My heart is filled with joy…

Living here and not inside…

My darling little boy.

I feel like I have waited an eternity for this darling little man to arrive, I can’t even begin to imagine how it has been for his mumma and papa. A much wanted and dearly loved beautiful boy has finally arrived earthside into the arms of the most adoring parents.

I grew up with Sylas’s mumma and was completely overjoyed when she shared the news of her impending arrival.

Even more exciting when she asked me to capture special memories of her new family.

That said, today’s session definitely pushed my creative juices and my light natural neutral style with pops of colour was replaced by….

grey, grey and more grey…with a touch of skulls!

I always ask families about what colour suits their style, what the nursery looks like and if they want to bring something that is special to them.

Today….we definitely got creative!

World….Meet Silas.

Newborn baby boy sleeping in grey blanket Newborn baby boy sleeping on dark grey blanket with grey knit and bonnet Newborn baby boy sleeping in grey flecked blanketCan not believe how much this little guy looks just like his papa!

Newborn baby boy sleeping in grey ruffle bowl with grey fluff and grey wrap on grey blanketSo…the shot everyone has been waiting for…one of a few we took today including a skull…not your standard newborn prop but Ive known for a while this little guy was going to come out a rocker. He snuggled right up to that skull and I think we pulled it off!

Newborn baby boy sleeping in grey romper in grey rectangle basket on wooden floor Newborn baby boy sleeping in grey romper in grey rectangle basket on wooden floor with skull statueOften mumma’s and papa’s don’t want to have their photo taken…they are completely exhausted, they’ve probably been up all night long. No one’s been to the hairdresser and papa’s just feel awkward. But I always try and encourage families to have images taken. Your little one will only be this small for such a brief period of time. And before you know it, they have grown, they have changed and life has moved forward. You need to remember this moment. You need to capture those details. So today we convinced mumma and papa to sneak this divine picture in.

So.Worth.It.

Silas…you have captured my heart…along with your mumma’s and papa’s…I am so grateful you finally decided to gift them with your presence.

You were definitely worth the wait.

Regan and Craig…nothing gives me greater joy than to watch you flourish as new parents.

You are both doing an amazing job and Silas is proof of that.

For so long we dreamed of you…

you made us wait so long…

In our hearts we wanted you…

We knew to be so strong.

Then magically you joined our lives…

We’ve welcomed you with love…

A teeny tiny miracle…

Sent from up above.

Today we were blessed with the teeniest tiniest little peanut in the studio and he was the sweetest sleepiest little guy who was so laid back I actually could have kept him! Today’s session was a gift to mumma for her baby shower, which I absolutely adore, that all mumma’s friends and family knew the value of special memories being captured and decided to treat her to such a special gift.

Oliver, like all little bubba’s was a much loved and wanted bubba, but he took his sweet time joining his family, which has made him all the more special. Years of waiting for a miracle was surely rewarded in this gorgeous boy and it was an absolute pleasure to share in this beautiful families joy today.

World…Meet Oliver.

I just love it when families bring in special keepsakes to include in their session…imagine watching Oliver grow over the years side by side with this special bear!

We threw in a bit of neutral and I think it worked perfectly! And of course, Oliver agreed.

That smile….gaaaaah!!!!

Katie and Dean I feel so blessed that fate put you in my hands….what a gift for me to capture memories of your little man. He is most certainly worth the long wait.

Oliver…you are an absolute joy and you are more than welcome in my studio any time….fingers crossed your perfect behaviour rubbed off on my belly babe during snuggles today and it follows suit with that laid back snoozy nature!

And I’m sure you are all aware I am almost finished up and about to head on maternity leave….I still have a few more little clients due to arrive shortly but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my amazing assistant Amy who is literally my arms and legs at the moment considering I’m not in much shape to be bending and squatting. I could not continue to care for your families without her by my side….so Amy…thank you. You are worth your weight in gold.
