You’ve healed our hearts sweet tiny girl…
You’ve showered us with love…
You’ve given us a purpose now…
You’re sent from up above.
Today’s adorable newborn session was a little bit different than my usual client….a tiny bit smaller (more like one of NICU patients size instead!), and a tiny bit fluffier….but otherwise, things went pretty much like a usual session. She arrived wide awake, had a little feed, pooped on everything and then dosed off to a nice long sleep….with peaceful music playing gently in the background and her doting big sisters watching by, it was everything you would imagine happens in my studio on a daily basis!
I have been friends with this little loves mumma for an eternity, but you see her ‘babies’ were born before I was shooting newborns (I still got to care for them in the NICU when they were born) but alas, mumma always yearned for a special newborn shoot in my studio. When she announced the safe arrival of their new addition…I just knew we had to make it happen!
At a mere 60 days new….World…Meet Pipsie.x.
(I’m totally calling that a newborn smile!!!)
Holy cute bebe alert….I’m not sure it gets any sweeter than this???
There’s just something special about little girls and flowers….
All the smiles….
My favourite mustard was absolutely perfect with her little golden curls….
Now there may have been a few tears with this special shot…you see Pipsie’s story to join her new family is a special one. With heartbreaking sadness, Pipsie’s big sister Tallula, the most divine and loved kitty cat fell ill in July after 16 long and full years. This family had no room in their hearts for anyone else and spent Tallula’s special last days loving and being with her. Unbeknown to them though, on July 30th, when one loved pet was preparing to gain her angel wings, a new life was being born. A chance meeting, some random phone conversations and a little fate and sweet Pipsie made her way all the way from Cairns down to her new family to begin her job of healing all the broken hearts in her new home. This divine bear contains the ashes of Pipsie’s big sister, Tallula and it filled my heart to capture this special image today. As a pet owner myself, and losing my own kitty late last year, I know all too well that they are often your first babies, and leave a massive void when they are no longer.
And how could we not celebrate this sweet rainbow…..
“After every storm…there is rainbow of hope”
And how could I not finish with the most adoring sibling image ever?
Francesca and Georgina….you are by far the most loving big sisters a teeny girl could ask for, even if she is of the fluffy variety! Thank you for helping me in the studio today and for sharing your gorgeous dogga with me!
Jodie-Louise and Richard…the proudest new parents….I ever did see! I am so glad I could finally do a newborn session for you and your sweet Pipsie…a baby is a baby in my eyes!
